UCES Science Olympiad TeamUCES Science Olympiad Team we are proud of you!!

UCES Science Olympiad participants traveled to North Oconee High School for the Science Olympiad Competition on Saturday March 28th.  We had six students win!!

Shae Carroll and Morgan Warren won first place in the Egg Drop competition. They had to use 20 straws and masking tape to protect an egg from a drop from a second story height and hit a target. Their egg was the only one to not break AND hit the target!

Our second place win was for Disease Detectives. Emily Frizzell and Emma Thompson worked together to answer questions about diseases.

Our fourth place finishers were Italia Salazar and Parker Scott , they competed in a category called Weather or Not. They worked together to answer questions about weather.

We are very proud of our Science Olympiad Team and all the time and effort that was put into preparing for this competition. Participants include:

Fifth grade students: Gage, Conley, Emily Frizzell, Emma Thompson, Jack Wiarda, Parker Scott, Savannah Scholtz, Rachel Moreno and Brady Guild

Fourth grade students:  Italia Salazar, Chloe Edwards, Shae Carroll, Lexi Grace Starling and Wilson Walker
